Testing procedures for housings and earpieces
Precision is achieved through rigorous measurement series. Each component passes through defined checkpoints prior to release. We measure sound pressure levels in artificial ear canals. Frequency deviations may only amount to minimal fractions. This ensures spatial orientation remains authentic for the wearer.
Material analysis of silicone and ABS plastic
The outer housing is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic. It resists skin oils and friction. We manufacture the earpiece from grade 40 medical silicone. This level of hardness provides stability while adapting snugly to the tissue. It contains no volatile plasticizers.
- Quality testing: Acoustic tightness test of each receiver under standard pressure.
- Traceability: Batch testing of raw materials with proof of skin tolerance.
Performance under changing conditions
Temperature fluctuations strain zinc-air cells and semiconductors. Test chambers simulate humid heat and dry cold. Stainless steel contacts resist corrosion permanently. The circuitry stays dry and operational.
